BioShe is leaving on August 22nd (as of now) and has created this to inform anybody and everybody about her crazy adventures in another country.
The whole fiasco started when a friend mentioned that she may try an exchange program for a year. Emily decided this sounded like an absolutely amazing idea.
In November 2007 she received the application for the rotary exchange program, one of the most acclaimed programs. She filled it out and two weeks later was at an interview. at the Rotary's 2007 Christmas dinner, it was decided; she was going to Japan.
Preparations continued from there, from applying for visas to satisfying the local high school to attempting to learn Japanese to telling people multiple times that yes, she was excited, no she wasn't nervous, and no, she's not living anywhere you're likely to know of.
This blog, or online journal, has been created for the purpose of cataloging her adventures so that her family and friends know what she is doing and so that later she may come back and over her own experiences.
