apologies for not posting in like, forever. :S this is only about this last week, too...
School started! Like, actually started. Like, I had CLASSES on Friday. I haven't had real classes for over a month. STUFF TO DO, AWESOME. My schedule has lots of stuff this year: Math III, Oral (english) II, tea ceremony, Food I, Ceramics III, Japanese history, social studies, gym... I think that's it. Food definitely seems like it'll be awesome - the teacher seems cool and there are only four other third-years in my class, but they're all loud and obnoxious, so awesome. xD Social studies'll be boring but educational. Math III? it has three people. Out of the entire 300+ person third-year class, THREE PEOPLE are taking math iii. this is so unfair, but it's also really cool. AND my teacher has really nice handwriting so. xD Next in gym is soccer, so rock. Sounds like no one really likes being a goalie, so I'll do that if I can. >D what else did I have on friday... oh, Oral! there are new people in the class, but it's otherwise the same: hilarious. Engrish is fun!
So yesterday I went with one of the Rotary people (Kato-san! I REMEMBER HIS NAME.) to Nagoya, because they herd i like castles. Nagoya castle is really famous because the dragon-things on the top of the roof are gold. yeaaah. We left at 9 and got there at 1 because there was an accident and apparently japan fails at keeping traffic moving. :S we got around 8 km in 2 hours. D: The castle was really pretty... and really busy... and really hot... and we get inside and it's been completely gutted and redone and it's like a museum - air conditioning and all. DDD: THIS IS NOT WHY I LIKE CASTLES. NO. STOP MESSING WITH THEM - I DON'T WANT EXCESSIVE FLOURESCENT LIGHTING AND REAL STAIRS, THAT'S WEIRD. after that we headed over to the station to shop some... I bought CDs. xD Kuroki Meisa's debut album!!! eee, love love love. <3 Uhm, after that, KT's Rescue, Arashi's Kitto Daijoubu, Utada Hikaru's Passion. yeaaah. Then we got cake on the 51st floor. I don't think I've ever been up that high in a building. @_@ it was pretty awesome. After that we headed home and had sushi at this little local place, which was awesome. People continue to be surprised by the fact that I eat sushi. And lots of it. It's so good... why wouldn't I like it? P:
Today we've got a barbeque at my place! have no idea how many people will be here, but my friends Bruna and Michelle are coming. Satoko has friends coming too. s'going to be fun, I think. =D
pictures, including a couple from the ski trip, a matsuri i went to, sakura all over the place, including at my school, and nagoya:

AHHH
I just had an awesome day, and it's only like, 5.
Got to Hamamatsu at 10. Headed to the theater... first Watchmen's at 11:50, first Yatterman at 11:20. I decide to see Watchmen, and Yatterman after if I feel like it/have time. Buy ticket.
Head down to anime store. proceed to spend lots of money on mostly Code Geass. xD Uh, let's see. Four packs of cards, two sets of pins (4 altogether), a keychain. Also, two sets of Jack Frost (atlus mascot) stickers and Death Note phone stickers. (phone stickers meaning random stuff + stickers to put on the buttons on your phone to make them death-notey. i lol'd.)
Went up, took a breather on a bench at the arcade. I was like 'I JUST SPENT LOTS OF MONEY. I JUST SPENT LOTS OF MONEY. GEASSSSS'. ahaha. wandered around in the arcade for a bit... played the Rhythm Tengoku arcade game (which was hard because the button didn't react well).
Still have like half an hour until I can get into the theater, so I go into Toys R' Us. because... it's there. Ended up buying GEASS GUM (oh god, I wish I was kidding), a Evangelion angel keychain (one of those little puffy foam ones? it's falling apart but it made me laugh), and... and... A MINI LANCELOT. OH MY GOD, IT'S ADORABLE. It's got tons of parts and stuff - I'm sure it was expensive... there were five sitting on the sale rack for $20. I freaked because I was like 'gundam, gurren lagen, gundam, gundam, gund- wait, that says - OH MY GOD, IT'S A LANCELOT' so. I'LL PLAY WITH IT LATER. <333
Went up to the theater, grabbed caramel popcorn and a coke for lunch. SO WATCHMEN, I THOUGHT IT WAS AWESOME. I mean, I suppose if I knew the comics, I might have a different opinion... but... IT WAS AWESOME.
...excuse me, that was a musical boyband commercial for roach traps. oh, japan.
Uhm, Watchmen. also, in case you weren't sure of my loser: the manhattan-bombs reminded me of FLEIYA. ahaha. Snow-blood-outline? 'THAT REMINDS ME OF NINA. ....OH MY GOD, MANHATTAN IS SCAR!!' lol'ing commenced. SUCH. A LOSER. (but they both blow people up! YOU CAN'T TELL ME I'M WRONG.)
I don't think I really have anything else to say.
...I think I'm supposed to be doing something tomorrow. ah well.

listening to: TV - Bleach! not like i know what's going on.
Since I haven't written an actual note in like ages...
Ski trip: kinda fun, but mostly painful. I've still got a massive bruise on my one leg and scrape-burns on the other. The best day was the last, when I wasn't actually being monitored so I could fall a lot and not get yelled at by the instructor. xD
Finished Geass. [no more here, because... massive flail on my part.]
Watched the latest Mentalist. JAAAANE. This show is so awesome. xD
Watched the not-quite-latest SPN. (last week's; is there an episode this week? haven't checked.) facepalmed, mostly. DEAN HAS A RELATIONSHIP WITH A REAPER! not. THE ANGELS AREN'T WATCHING! not. (the angels are ALWAYS watching.) etcetcetc. it was just kind of ridiculous. extra-especially the complete denial of anything they said during the siren episode. SAM, JUST STOP LYING, THIS IS RIDICULOUS.
Been playing lots of DII... barbarians do not like the second act. D:
I should start watching something else, but it would kind of be like betraying Geass and I just.... I CAN'T YET. D:
no real news on whether or not I get to help sister move to Tokyo this weekend, but they're going by car! somehow between all the stuff she has in boxes right now I don't think we'll all fit in a car, but they might be going in two anyways.... dunno.

So, we went to Hamamatsu today. ("We" meaning me, my host mom & sister, along with... uh... my host aunt & cousin?) Had lunch in this really nice little cafe - mm, BLT - and wandered around for a while before seeing Benjamin Button (which was really good, and I cried again, and damn, I need to stop watching sad movies. D:)
BUT
We got our tickets but it was still about an hour before the movie started, so we couldn't go in yet. Yuuko (host sister) and the cousin and I went downstairs.
Now, I'd like to remind you that I've been to Hamamatsu like, four times by myself. To this same department store. I've never been to the basement level because it says all that's down there is food.
ANIME STORE
GIANT, LOVELY, PERFECT ANIME STORE
So I started freaking out. Walked around for a bit. Picked up some random goods stuff. Almost couldn't decide on what to get but ended up spending a bunch.
THIS STORE IS GOING TO GET A LOT OF MY MONEY IN THE NEXT THREE MONTHS.
Bought:
- 5 packs of P3/P4 cards. what, they're cool.
- a P3 phone strap
- Tales of the Abyss postcards for Knia
- a P3 4-koma book (god, this thing is huge)
- a P4 gag doujin
i am just freaking out so much right now.
ANIME
IN THE SAME PLACE I'VE BEEN GOING BY MYSELF FOR THE PAST THREE MONTHS
WHY DID I NOT KNOW
also, the place is full of goods of stuff I HAVEN'T SEEN. like Geass and Seed and 00 and and and god I don't even know. I NEED TO TAKE PICTURES NEXT TIME SO I KNOW WHAT TO WATCH.
I also almost bought $40 play arts FFVII stuff. like, soldier!cloud and vincent. like, agh, get me away before I buy more, please.
PICTURES! ...not of this!
uhm, some old stuff, my room in my new house, kakegawa castle... uh... whatever. STUFF.

Uhh, let's see...
Still no wireless. well, whatever. still got cable!
Bike ride's actually pretty fun... when it's not windy. About the same time as my last house, although a bit more time because of the huuuuge big sloping hills. (seriously fun hills. really.) However, the wind has picked up and I'm in a more open area, which means bad, bad things. (and by 'picked up' I mean 'cars have to swerve to avoid my skirt' windy.)
Found out tonight that my older sister loves manga. Like, owns ridiculous amounts. Her favorite is Peacemaker Kurogane - which is really awesome so far. ahahaha. should read more of that.
Gotten back into jtv - the family sits around and watches, so so do I. =D right now is a huge comedian... thing. Don't think it's a contest, but it's really funny anyways.
School = absolutely boring right now. Half-days in which we really really do nothing. uggghh.
also, everyone should watch this:

and, if you're looking for the absurdity that comes from wandering around on what amounts to japan's youtube:

Just finished moving in - minus putting crap up on the walls, but ugh give me a break.
So far so awesome. Much more of what I consider a 'typical' japanese house - two-story small-not-small suburban place. I've got a room of my own, big enough to hold all my crap, uh... family seems nice, daughter is definitely at least 15, etcetc.
Wireless available, but all are security-locked. Three, so I'm assuming one of them is the family's. hopefully.
ride to school also doesn't look bad, but I haven't come over here on bike before, so we'll see. >>;
GOOD NEWS: TODAY IS BRIGHT SUNNY. I'M WEARING A T-SHIRT. although I do keep putting on and taking off my armwarmers...
[edit]
One is theirs, but they don't know the security key. figuring that out...

RINGU REVIEW:
First off: I haven't seen any other version/prequel/sequel to this. Just the Japanese original. So, yeah.
Second: This movie is old. Like, 1998. Like, ridiculously obviously 90's movie.
It was a good movie, don't get me wrong. Had I seen this in 1998... I would've freaked out. But it's not 1998. The reeaaaallly obvious time difference threw me off, so I wasn't immersed in the movie from the start. Also, I was watching on YT. Not the greatest quality in the world.
Sadako: not as creepy as she should've been. I was expecting dripping-wet-creepy-zombie-flesh girl, not normal-girl-with-rotting-fingernails-and-f rizzy-hair. sorry.
Thing that creeped me out the most? The cloth-headed corpse-people. a;sldfkja; *APPEARS IN TV, POINTS* "OH EEK GET OFF THE SCREEN *SINK FURTHER DOWN IN BED*"
Also like to remind you: There's a TV in my room. Which is across the room from me and I face away from it... straight into the wall full of mirror-doored closets. Every time I look up right now I half-expect to see something in the TV. D:
I think mostly I just went into it overhyped. I mean, it's Ringu! THE LEGENDARY HORROR MOVIE. Sorry I was expect a little more... uh... death? maybe? gore? no clue.
Or maybe I was just expecting Ju-On, which is still the freakiest movie I've ever seen. If only because I've never been able to sit through one of the Hannibal movies. (Psycho came close, but... not as creepy, sorry. He... wasn't a ghost(s).)
...
I still want to cover up my TV though. Maybe I should just go play Persona for a while.
I am considering watching The Ring, although I think I'll save it for tomorrow morning.
(oh, another problem: I watched a season and a half of Supernatural in the past like, week. The entire time I was debating whether she'd be a cursed-object ghost or what. I mean, there are lots of tapes! That's a lot of rage, woman! Maybe they'd just have to salt/burn bones? I DON'T KNOW. AHAHA. Seriously though, SAM AND DEAN VS. SADAKO. that'd be an awesome showdown, right there.)
(also also: I knew about the copy-show-not-die thing, I just completely forgot until the end of the movie. argh.)
...
Man, I want to go watch Ju-On again. :( that would so not be good for my sanity.

Since internet was all ARGH! this morning, I went to Hamamatsu after lunch. Was going to see Friday the 13th, but it was on once all day. ...at 7 at night. (I got there at... 2?) Instead I saw 7 Pounds!
cried, so much.
Basically: didn't know jack squat about the plot. It was the new Will Smith movie and it was supposed to be good.
I CRIED, SO MUCH.
So yeah, it's an awesome movie. I still want Ft13 though. :(
Good news: actually didn't buy anything today! Played a round of Silent Hill in the arcade, but that was only a buck, and I only died at Pyramid Head because, well, he's pyramid head. <3 (also, i need to have better aim. :S)

I'm moving next Saturday and I'm not packed. My room isn't even clean enough to let someone else in here at the moment.
I should probably be looking up college information (more).
Instead, I'm playing P3!
GO ME.
(I swear I'll start packing tomorrow.)
And in case anyone was wondering about what courses I'd like to take next year.
Courses:
- Honors English 11
- AP English 12
- Honors Analytical Writing
- Honors 20th Century Studies
- Honors American Gov. & Econ
- AP Calculus II
- Health/PE 11
- Health/PE 12
and my extra credit preferably goes to:
- Honors Physics
if that doesn't work...
- German II
Mm, uh, that's a lot of work.
BRING IT ON. I miss work. ;___;

So Sweeney Todd was pretty awesome. I kinda saw it before - it was on at that one party I went to but no one shut up long enough for me to actually follow it. xD I knew the ending twist and stuff.
Mrs. Lovett and Mr. Todd were just the loveliest pair of psychopaths, weren't they? (I think my favorite song is the one where they're talking about people on the street and what they'd be like in pies. xD)
It's also a completely absurd movie. The whole thing is just... absolutely surreal. I don't think I should watch it again without someone else around. >>; (Mrs. Lovett's dream sequence? Hilarious but freaky. o_O) Also, the blood made me CRACK UP. It's just SO ridiculously fake. AWESOME. Like, not even trying there. 'FORGET THE REAL-LOOKING BLOOD. WE WANT SPLATTER!!'
However, it's also one of those movies that just leaves HUGE, RIDICULOUS loose ends that make me sad. While I'd like to know what happens to the workhouse kid I don't really care - what I would like to know is what ends up happening to Johanna and that sailor guy. Mostly Johanna. Since she just had her not-so-loving caretaker KILLED in front of her. painfully. (by her father, although she doesn't seem to know that... she did look at the picture though.) ergh, sondheim.
anyways. it's now 9 and I haven't played persona nor taken a shower. If I play persona I just KNOW I'll be up until like, 1 in the morning. ... I'll probably do it anyways.
